This notice explains what personal information atmosphericLWS collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. atmosphericLWS is an independent record label and playlist curator based in the UK, and is the controller of the information described here.
What we collect and why
Newsletter
If you sign up to the newsletter, we keep your email address so we can send you a letter roughly once a month about new releases, playlist updates and label news. We rely on your consent. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Contact and demo messages
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in answering people who get in touch. Messages are kept in our inbox for as long as the conversation is useful, and deleted on request.
Analytics cookies
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed. These cookies are only set if you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set. To change your choice, clear this site's cookies and storage in your browser and the banner will appear again.
Things stored in your browser
The site saves a few small settings in your browser's local storage: your cookie choice, and whether you have closed or used the newsletter panel. These never leave your device and are not used to track you.
Embedded players and external links
Release and playlist pages include players from Spotify, and the videos page includes players from YouTube. These services may set their own cookies or collect information when you use them, under their own privacy policies. Playlist submissions happen on SubmitHub, which has its own privacy policy too.
Who helps us run things
We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf:
- Railway hosts the website and stores newsletter signups.
- Resend stores newsletter contacts, sends the newsletter and delivers contact form messages.
- Google provides analytics (only with your consent) and the website's fonts.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by the safeguards those providers offer, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We never sell your information or share it with anyone for marketing.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, get in touch through the contact form and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
